Today marks 67 days seizure free! My family bought me a seizure alert bracelet. It works pretty good. The first week i had it it detected two seizures. It wasnt a guarantee it would detect my focal seizures but it did. I gives me peace of mind knowing my mom will be alerted when i have a seizure. Makes me feel as safe as i can be knowing this. My depression has been almost non existent. My attitude has been really good. My anxiety and stress has also been way down. My neurologist says my seizures is caused by stress, anxiety and over exhaustion. If i go four more months seizure free i will be able to drive! My visits to my psychologist and psychiatrist have been a really big help to my mental health. I also just held my second annual benefit for the epilepsy foundation. All proceeds go to the foundation. All of my family helps to set up the event but my mom and sister do majority of the work. We have food, games and basket raffles. Over 60 items were donated for the raffle. Big items were donated by Youngstown State Athletics, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Rock n Roll hall of fame, McDonalds and countless other companies also many family memebers donated too. It was a carnival themed event. We raised almost $2000! I didnt win any baskets but i did raise and extra $50 to get pied in the face. I didnt know it was going to strawberry and it not my favorite choice of pie flavor. My family and i also moved into a new place. Finally found a house! I grew tired of living in condos/apartments with shared walls. So much more private in a house and its alot more quiet where im at now. My sister moved back in because her fiance was cheating on her for over a year. They were together for five years. He was quoted saying "i only proposed to her to shut her up" It took her a few months to accept it and leave him. He was cheating with one of his co workers where my mom also works. My sister thought everyone there had it out for her. That was until she caught him cheating a few times. She started a relationship with him five years ago as a side chick, so once a cheater always a cheater. He also blamed their breakup on my mom lol he's a piece of work. He was obsessed with video games and my sister always came second. My sister is now in a good place and is working less hours for more money at a local hospital.
