Today something unusual occured. I was just ending my day and taking the elevator down to the ground floor. Me and another co-worker were heading down together. we both notice the elevator was "bouncy" the elevator opened and he stepped out and commented about the elevator being Bouncy and I made a stupid comment like "well as long as we did not die then it's ok" (too much faith in the elevator) I then at that last second Relized I had forgot to post some signs up on previous floors and so I needed to go back up. My co-worker exited the elevator and I hit the up floor..The elevator started to go up and Then it just stopped. I waited a few min thinking a small glitch that will snap itself right back into action. Then I thought oh Wait iam still not moving. I hit the emergency talk button to say Hey guys iam stuck in the elevator but guess what? (nothing happened) I proceded to hit the call button several times again with no response or indication that anyone knew i was in the elevator. So then I just pressed all the buttons in the elevator for every floor possible and they all lit up and I still went nowhere. I then had no idea what I should do really. I looked around and waved hi to the security camera in the elevator several times. I then decided to try to open up one of the doors to see if it was possible that i could just step out. I open the doors only to find no possible exit. I decided I should yell hey iam stuck in the elevator out randomly to the now open elevator doors. A co worker heard me and asked me if I was joking around? I said no really iam stuck here in the elevator. She said ok iam going to tell someone. It was very hard to hear as there was a blowing fan so we both had talk loudly. The Engineers came over and asked me what floor I was at I made a close guess. He said ok and told me to close the elevator doors and that he would be right there. The other co-worker shouted and asked If i was scared...I said yes a little and asked if i was ok..and if someone was helping. I told her I think so they seem to know iam here and they are working on something. A few min later the engineer tells me that iam floor 2 1/2 and they are not able to move the elevator but that iam safe. (I did think of the comment I made earlier about as long as we did not die) He said the elevator people are coming and that I should just hang in there. I asked him how long and he said Half hour. I was standing in the elevator looking around and I was getting thirsty and I was thinking oh no i have no water..floor 2 and a half not a far drop i guess. Some time Passed and the engineer yelled to me can you hear me? I said yeah I hear you. He goes 15 min ok just when the elevator opens step out! It seemed like a long time standing there. I waited and after some time the elevator did move in a jerky motion and the doors opened...I seen another co-worker walk towards me and he asked what are you still doing here? He was about to enter the elevator and I said Man dont even think about getting in this elevator. I been stuck in here for a bit use the other one....I walked around and cracked a few jokes to the security people. I told him hey tell the elevator guy thanks for getting me out man. It was actually scary.
