-Supernova (Tommy Lee, etc.) have changed their band name due to losing a court case to a band already named Supernova. So what is the new name? Rockstar: Supernova. Yes, they named themselves after the tv show title. Rockstar:Supernova is ok, but they don't rock nearly as much as The Amazing Race or Boston Legal...and Meet the Press is one kick-ass band!
-I got to see Be Your Own Pet at Murphy's the other night. They're a band from Nashville that's been compared to Sonic Youth, but I think they fall more onto the Bikini Kill side of things, especially with their cute, young little blonde female singer who turns into a human tornado when she hits the stage. The drummer looked like he hadn't even hit puberty yet. Young band. And they totally rocked.
-Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip debuted on NBC last night. Even though I had watched this pilot episode twice (thanks to Netflix) I watched it a third time last night. It's that good.
-New cd's out today by Fergie, Kasabian, Indigo Girls and Lennon.
