Its the weekend... Yay... and this is probably my last chance at net access for a bit. boo. but yay also. I think i need a break.
I'm heading home this weekend. This'll be my first time home since i got inked just over a month ago. wow has it been that long already (time flies when your doing a phd). I think i'm not gonna mention it.
Home should be OK dare i say relaxing? I might try and drag ZEW to the cinema if no-one else wants to. I wonder if she's up for it?
I'm back here on sunday, but i doubt i'm gonna get time to do anything net related, I've got a conference in london on monday so need to sort out stuff for that, and then on tuesday night (0200) we leave to go to italy for 9 days. so busy its unfunny.
A good thing about tuesday is we have our first SUSAC meeting. (there's the try-dive tonight but i can't go :smirk: ) So on tuesday i'll get to see how many of the cute girls i tried to convince to join actually come along.
I've been trying a lot harder to speak to people lately but last night was just abysmall i sunk straight back into wallflower mood. I think its cos we were such a big group and it was effort to make yourself heard i just decided not to bother and sat/stood there watching the world go by. I stayed true to my "having a thing for barmaids" and got some smiles out of one the barmaids. but thats her job so i can never be sure so again didn't even bother.
I'm still waiting on two/three of my serious attempts. One of which i think is not gonna happen, i'll be very surprised if it does. and the other i'm hoping she uses my number. even if its just to say hey. its me in my naivety believing that if someone takes your number there at least partially interested and will use it. I never get hit on, but if i did i'd be honest with the person either way. being lied to is not nice. especially when you've put yourself out there ready to make a fool of yourself or not.
Well i gotta get a rock on. But on a final note. beards. i think they look stupid on most people. but i've had a goatee for years and now range from skinny beard to full beard (trimmed) depending on how lazy i am. I must be the laziest shaver i just can't be arsed. I'm gonna try and post pics at some point and you can all vote on which one i look less like a twat.
