So a thousand years from now, mankind is on the brink of extinction. Pockets of humanity survive in shelters which, through the use of advanced technologies, keep them alive and out of the increasingly hostile environment on the surface of the earth. But it isn't enough and all of the technology in the world can't change the fact that in only a few generations, humanity will be extinct. A final plan is devised to try and change the course of history. Using advances is quantum theory and high-energy physics, a method of transporting matter back in time is created. Unfortunately, the process would kill any person attempting to make such a journey so it is decided that an artificially intelligent android will be constructed. Its mission is simple - go back to the 21st century and save mankind from itself. Protect them and guide them. the robot is named Adam by its creator.
