So, growing up I was a huge U2 fan. Throughout high school, I was "die hard" to say the least. I've been to seem them plenty of times starting with October 3rd, 1987 (I was 12). That night easily qualifies as one of the most memorable and magical evenings of my young life. From there, I saw them on March 24th, 1992 in the now demolished Maple Leaf Gardens, September 5th, 1992 (I'd just turned 17) which was the first time I went with a big group of friends. On October 26th, 1997 I saw the POP tour, and on May 25th, 2001 I saw them for the last time. I had GA tickets for that show and due to a little luck and good planning, was right up against stage.

I have not been back to see them and likely won't. TIckets are just too expensive. You can easily drop $300 a seat even before scalpers get their grubby hands all over them. For this upcoming tour, I've seen tickets for as much as three-thousand dollars a seat. I still queue up old U2 songs on my iPod (which currently remains broken!) and trip back through nostalgia to my teenaged years. But at no point do I feel the need to line the pockets of a wealthy rock-band and their wealthy promoters to get the same feeling.

In other news - I'm extremely horny thanks to a certain someone's very vivid recollection of a dream they had of me. *sigh*

The only reason I don't feel bad about the prices of U2 tickets is the Philanthropic nature of most of the members. They also have a very high and sincere understanding of injustices around the world and speak for many that are unable to either speak for themselves or are not heard. And I live their music, but the old stuff is the best. Plus Hot- they are damn sexy.

shocked Must have been a hella dream surreal
