The boy is asleep in his bed and I'm watching "The Spirit" which is already disappointing. The Sam Jackson one-liners are fun, as is the cat but the rest of the movie seems muddled and incoherent. It's not even the visual tour de force that I was hoping for. I'm a huge Frank Miller fan but it appears as though this movie is gonna have to live in the bargain bins along side Robocop 2 and 3. I guess I always have the 300 and Sin City sequels to look forward to.
I also got a chance to pop in the Ghostbusters 2 DVD this weekend. I hadn't watched it in years since, in general, I consider the original to be the definitive movie. I didn't hate it as much as I did in my memory, but I still consider the first to be vastly superior. I'm hoping that the forthcoming video game will provide a decent story and some good chuckles. I won't hold my breath for the CGI "sequel" that has been rumored for a while.
