I haven't blogged on here in quite a while! Don't forget that I'm always updating My Tumblr with pics and posts and blah blah blah!
So I had an amazing adventurous weekend. I have been off work again for a bit so I just live every day to the fullest. By off work of course I mean living off savings and EI and just waiting for a call to the next job in some god forsaken little mill town!
The weekend started off sort of slow with just a one on one hangout with a friend until later in the night. Saturday afternoon was a day for some nerd games with my friends. I love days like that, so this would have been enough to make me happy about the weekend. However, somehow during our games day we all decided to get together again around 9:30pm and drink/go to the bar. This turned out to be such a great idea! There was some special event somebody had planned for their 21st (youngin!) birthday! LAMBDA was packed!!! Our LAMBDA is really quite great too! Not necessarily huge, but it has this great dance floor with these great big fans! All the girls love it and always jokingly walk by the fans like models and stuff. I think it makes everyone feel pretty for some reason and helps keep us cool. Gets really hot as it's on the top floor of a building and isn't that big etc.
This is corny, and I usually wouldn't ever do this at the bar.. BUT.. I met the coolest girl. Sad fact she does not live here and she goes home tomorrow. I was already vacationing to the town she lives in by coincidence at the end of this August.. and so we decided to hang out then when I am in her town as well.. I don't even know where it would go after that. I am not actually too worried about it.. and not in this negative player type way.. (Again with the sounding corny, but..) Things just felt different with this girl. For the first time almost ever I wasn't even trying to impress the girl. For one thing she came out of nowhere and started talking to me at the bar and such. Which lead to hanging out afterword. In the morning she invited me to go river floating with her friends. This was perfect as I haven't even done this yet this year since I was busy working!! Amazing 3.25Hr float down the Nechako River from Miworth to where it meets the Fraser at Cottonwood Park. This float usually takes more like 4Hrs, however the river is a little high and going kind of fast. One of the people we floated with had a kayak and a little dog and it had a little life jacket with a leash that attached to the owner's life jacket. Was too cute and too cool!! Had a little handle on the dog's jacket so you could pick it out of the water with ease! I didn't bring my camera, I left it in the truck or else I would have got a picture. The little pup stood right on the nose of the boat looking about like a little captain. Basically the cutest thing I have ever seen in my (very close to) 27 years!! The float was also great as the girl and I shared a blow up mattress. We almost lost all our stuff! Including the one girl who brought her phone! The phone was double bagged and was brought back by a stranger who was it floating and grabbed it. Only had one bag left and it was open had gotten just a bit of water in it.. Hopefully the rice trick works for her.. It was on when it got wet though and who knows..
I spent that evening with my family having a BBQ at my Bro's beautiful house just out of town. It's perfect out there and close to where we grew up!
So again the next morning this amazing new girl opts to hang out with me and we went for a huge hike for basically the whole day! Parted ways for dinners with families and then ended up hanging out later in the evening to watch Anchorman as we both had talked about it, realizing neither of us had seen it in forever.
We are hanging out for a while today, however I am leaving her quite a bit of time to spend with her family before she flies home. However, I am REALLY excited for the two days we planned together while I am vacationing. I am sure we will keep in touch and keep being good friends, but obviously I am somewhat sad for this to end.
I am seriously very grateful for an amazing new friend though. Never forget to look at the highs with the lows!! 
So that was my adventurous weekend! Sort of a random intense personal attraction. One of the coolest people I have ever met! I hope everyone gets a chance at something like this in their lifetime. Even better if you end up just spending more and more time together!
