) there was a nice piece written by david owen in the october 18 issue of "the new yorker" magazine titled, "green manhattan: everywhere should be more like new york". it makes for an interesting read on the topic of environmental sustainability and green urbanism, albeit a little bit new york-centric at points 
unfortunately, this piece is not available online--your best bet would be your local library. check it.

I have no clue who Lewis Black is...besides the name, that he has his own comedy show and the simple fact that I could just Google it...besides that...Clueless
