*recycled partial-entry for the sake of necessity and sheer importance!, and b/c my "creative juice"-producing glands have been sucked dry by travis of the cosmos*

first, if you can spare $13, go forth to either amazon or down to your local record store and get...

it's well worth the money* love

*near-satisfaction guaranteed: if you don't like it, well, um, that's just too bad. just know that if you don't, god kills a kitten. so ye better like it, lest god smite ye... and an innocent miao!! .

well, it's now into the first full week of september, thus marking the beginning of summer(!) here in the bay area (Idjiit would respectfully disagree, insisting that the bay area quarterly weather patterns have no semblance to actual seasons).

since i don't really have anything useful and/or substantive to say, i'll just jabber on with whatever occurs to me as i type. okay. now in my third week of the fall term of my second year at diablo valley college (a relatively large community college--31,000 students served i.e. in attendance--in nearby pleasant hill, CA).

said farewell to the chlorian bitch-amphibian (really, terms of endearment, not insult biggrin)), who headed back to the OU, as i call it, for another year. other friends are starting (and starting back) at cal state schools soon. danville is such a banal place. someone should cede this place to texas or something (sorta impossible, sure--but hey, one can wish surreal ).

also, saw popo and gung gung off to sfo for their two-week guided excursion of england, france, switzerland, and italy. my uncle was originally going to pick them up and drop them off at BART, but i insisted on doing it instead. besides, i can never ride BART to boredom.

oh, movie suggestion: Hero, starring jet li. one hell of a visually stunning movie. it's more like a moving painting than anything. and a good plot, imo. it left me in a state of contemplation of the world. for some reason i was under the impression that it was directed by quentin tarantino (thought i had seen tv ads for the film with his name; the film was produced in association with miramax anyway)... confused on the other hand, i don't know if *any* movie is worth $10 (blessed are those of you who don't live in a metropolitan area where the megaplexes rip us patrons a new one each time we go to el cine mad )--might be worthwhile to wait for the dvd.

hope everyone's labor day weekend (in the u.s. of course) went well (and safely wink) and that you've got something memorable to take from it.
