interesting (and a tad dated) read on salon.com, at least from my POV (being the urban design/transportation "enthusiast" that i am):

"Why don't we do it in the road?" (20 may 2004)

A new school of traffic design says we should get rid of stop signs and red lights and let cars, bikes and people mingle together. It sounds insane, but it works.

What we really need to do is get rid of all the cars.

The boards are primarily filled with 06ers, but there is still fun to be had.

I have also stopped paying attention to the sets. I never really decided to make new friends after all the other ones stopped hanging out so now I might hit the site twice a month and I figured the money could go towards something else. I did the yearly thing which wasn't a bad price it just doesn't seem to be as compelling as it used to be
