So we went on a little trip to Paducha, KY the last few days. For those who don't know, it is the quilt capital of the country...according to my wife anyway. So why drive for 3 1/2 hours to the quilt capital you ask? Well, to see quilts of course. Oh and the bonus fact that Shannon (my wife) has a quilt currently on a nation wide, year long tour and it stopped in Paducha this weekend. Check it out!
The girl on the quilt is of Lyric (our swell offspring), and this is her posing with the quilt for photo's taken by myself and a dozen other old people who smelled like a closet.
The artist, the muse, and the result...together again.
We also went to the National Quilt Museum....
....and the Kentucky State Pen where I wanted to meet a random death row inmate, but no one would let me.
We hung out at the Ohio River...
There was an old train that Lyric thought was pretty cool....
Lyric also thought this was amazing...
