Well it sure has been an eventful couple of weeks...or so it seems anyway. Been busy at work with some pretty major events. Worked on some new music for the first time in a very long time. Shannon (my wife for anyone who does not know) went into a frenzy to finish up this years quilt for some contest she enters every year. While she worked on that I got to come up with extra things to do with the kid to keep her out of Mom's hair. One day we decided to bake a cake. I told Lyric she could put all the stuff on herself, as well as do most of the work. Here are the results of that.....







The LyriCake was very very sweet...too sweet. It was a ton of fun though!

Then Shannon finished the Quilt. Check it out.....



It is hard to see everything, but it is a fairy leaning on a dragon egg. The fairy is actually taken from a picture of Lyric. Pretty darn good I must say! Now we wait to see if she makes the world tour again this year.

Then out of all this fun, I was woken up this past Monday early morning/late night by a phone call from my mother informing me that my father had just had a heart attack. Now a week later he is home and seemingly well all things considered, but what an out of nowhere scare. Messed me up all week. It was pretty bad too. His heart stopped on the table and they brought him back. Yuck...horrible thought... I prefer to think of him like this....



I know he wont live forever, but he has never had health problems, so this was very out of nowhere and I was so far from ready for that phone call. It's even worse being 6 hours away from him. Ironic/creepy that about a week before this during a conversation Shannon and myself were having, I said, "someday I will get a call in the middle of the night to tell me my father had a heart attack and I will loss my mind because I can't just hop in a car and be there in 12 minutes."

I know I am leaving things out, but whatever. It is lunch time and my fat ass needs to do some eatin'!
