my pal ted is getting married! biggrin he proposed to his long term lady about a month ago, after he got back from tour. i'm trying to think of a groovy wedding present. any thoughts? they're in their early thirties. my concern is that the gift is something for the both of them. i'm trying hard to resist giving them an ikea gift certificate. my best idea is to get them shoes because they are both vegan and it's so hard to find cool vegan shoes i could get ted shoe size, but i have yet to meet his fiancee. thanks in advance

that is tough, but definatly dont go the certificate route. that is what you get for an aquaintance. Close friends need to have something special. soemthing thought out. Shoe are kind of tricky though. no two styles or brands fit the same. Have you thought about having their portrait painted? I am sure that they have pictures of themselves that you can thieve and take that to an artist. they will love that.
