AHHH!!! Turbonegro was amazing!!! prior to the show me
and my pal dan got dinner and while driving to the
restaurant, we noticed how totally dark it was outside for
being 7pm. we were ready for darkness! so we go to the
show and the absolute worst band opens for them. i don't
know thw name of the band, but i'll refer to them as the
worst band ever. in fact lets stop talking about them.
Danko Jones played next and they were righteous as
usual! then came the darkness. i knew it was going to be
awesome when i saw the backdrop. for those who are
unfamiliar with the norwegian flag if it is hung the right
way, it becomes a upside down cross!!! fucking EVIL!
what was great was the crowd chanting PIZZA,PIZZA!!
while waiting for the band. they played some new tunes
off of scandanavian leather, but they totally rocked our
favorites from ass cobra and apocalapse dudes. it
was so awesome i threw them my MC5 t-shirt! my pal
andy got a set list and dan got euroboys towel. we
took turns smelling it! and yes they played I've Got
Erection for the encore.
So that was awesome, THEN get this, i was hanging
out was this girl ratchel who i seriously have tv eye for
yesterday and my friend James calls me.
his awesome (in my opinon) band french toast is playing.
he put me on the guest list for his show, his show with
the Queens of the Stoneage and the Red Hot Chili
Peppers. so we went. it was surreal. i mean, john
frusciante gave me a handshake, i high fived josh
homme. but i think the craziest part was the catering.
afterward we went to this bar called planet marky for
kareoke night. i wanted to sing ticket to ride, but i really
don't have a voice left from screaming at turbonegro.
