You know those moments when you get to reflect and look back on recent events. Yeah well that happened recently. Not new year new me (I hate that!). I mean just a moment of contemplation and a chance to think clearly about what has happened. I've come to one conclusion I'm pretty shit, not all the time just most of the time.
Lets go back....
So many months ago I was privileged and humbled by the opportunity to attend the UK Suicide Girls Shootfest 2015. Now this was a highlight of my year and a big personal accomplishment. During this event I was luck to photograph some of the most beautiful women to grace this site. I truly love taking photographs especially of SG's and hopefuls, helping them to be seen and get recognised for how beautiful they are. So whats the problem? I've struggled creatively in recent months. I've allowed issues in my personal life (work and family health issue) to interrupt my schedule and my priorities have slipped. Let me be clear these life events are in no way an acceptable excuse I just want those of you reading this who may have wondered whats happened to me and more importantly the promises i have made to you all to provide a professional service. With that in mind, I am here, I am back, I feel more normal. The stresses that affected may not be gone but I am learning to deal with them in a more productive way. So in closing of this part I would like to say to those of you whom i have not contacted or communicated with in a correct manor I apologies and please know that completing edits and shoots for you all is of my highest priority and I will regain my focus and have the important items for you all very soon.
Ok moving on....
Instagram - For those of you who follow me on instagram (mrdavebuxton) you may have seen a change in my posting habits. in the later months of 2015 i was uploading a multitude of images aimed at and based around my SG portfolio. However since the start of 2016 i have posted very little in this way. This is partially linked to the reasons i explained above but also as a chance to challenge myself. I currently do not have the means to shoot sets and photoshoots purely due to time and work constraints. However the phone i carry enables me to always take and post images daily of interesting subjects. Whilst my feed may not be of the gorgeous women we all know and crave to see I do feel a grater sense of achievement within my photographs when it is of this format.

My aim now is to add more to this site and become a more active member so that I can return the gift that it has given to me.
I see a lot of blog homework post? I need to research them more and finger crossed add my own.
