I have not logged on to SG in a week now. An aprtment complex fire in Little Rock displaced over 100 people. The Red Cross opened a shelter for those who had no where to go. I am the shelter leader for about 12 counties so I have been working that 24x7. Hopefully the shelter closes tomorrow.

I was really jonesing for SG but nothing I could do. Made a little time for this blog this morning.

I hand over my shelter duties tonight at 10pm to other people. The reason is that I am having surgery on my tongue in the morning. I have had two white spots on it for three months now. They are extremely painful when I talk or eat. So they will be removed and biopsied in the morning surgery. I had the same thing 9 years ago and the doctor at that time just cut it out in his office and cauterized it. No problems afteward and it was not a cancer. This doctor wants to do surgery since there are two and the tongue bleeds so much.

Because of the pain, I am actually looking forward to tomorrow. If you don't hear from me again, I'll be in a plastic bag in a dark basement somewhere. (I donate my body to science)
