I actually had a good day at work today and when I came home the wonderful day just continued. Imagine that. At work I was able to clean-up all the problems that arose yesterday. Our development server seems to be working properly w/o the 30sec lag after I turned off the screen saver. Funny fix to a major problem. Spent the afternoon working with a contract engineer (who looks, talks and has the facial expressions of Dick Cheney) trying to get some old DOS-based automation computer working again. It was unsuccessful. It was odd debating politics with Larry though because it felt like I was discussing the economy and etc with the Vice President. I literally felt hesitant at one point to say something.
Got home this evening and got the house cleaned up. Don't know why I felt inclined to clean for Gaintner but I did. Maybe because he's my first guest of the house. Since I have 'master' keys to my apartment complex, I was able to unlock the other bedroom of my apartment which is supposed to stay locked. I was more curious than anything to get into that room. I watched a little television tonight and got the rats cages cleaned. Also received a package w/ letters and a coat from my parents. All in all it was a good day. -Dave
