Believe it or not I was actually doing well the last few weeks. Emotionally I have been stable and keeping myself busy. I had the sore throat/cough/flu/cold illness last week that I am just now getting over. Unfortunately I let my mind slip last night and today has been even worse. I don't believe the statements that I need to become comfortable with myself apply...

I think it's probably time I seek help from a mental health professional. You have been very supportive of me over the years but unfortunately I am in too poor shape right now. I have to be out of town for work until Tuesday night at which point I am going to start looking at psychologists/psychiatrists in the Blacksburg area. Maybe by the end of...

rock on dude. it's a good way to take care of yourself. just remember...if you find good advice, keep it simple and stick with it. talking to a professional helps you get out all the complications. Some are deeper and more confusing. Some are just our mind racing in circles. Cut them out and focus on the little things that help make life good. warm regards!

Comments on the little used 'Dating' section of my journal:

So when the 'Dating' section of SG started, I was all excited to meet people through that. After years as a feature, I have never even had anyone comment on my journal that I was a match for. Nice feature but I wonder how much use it is having for other people.

Here are some...

thanks for the birthday wish dude!

haha...as for the matches , that's funny how your circle according to the dating match overlaps with your actual social circle...but it guess not too surpising... i wouldn't change anything with those people except maybe joke about the coincidence. but i think it might say other recommended people have a decent chance of being at least a little compatible

As some of you are well aware, I have been out of town and very much out of contact for four days. I needed to get back home to regain my sanity from a week of clusterfucks. I got home and after watching a movie and relaxing, I huddled into bed for an early bedtime. Shortly after falling asleep my doorbell rings. Granted, the only...

Worked in Fredericksburg last week. Working my way across the Virginia and the east by way of Appomattox, Emporia, Newport News, Exmore, Denton MD, & Winchester. I need to get this work done I just don't want to be out of town for four days. By the way, going out of town on business means no access to SG. Email I can do, porn I...

I've decided what I need most now is support from my friends and family. I'm struggling to keep myself motivated to do social activities, get out, etc. I've settled into a groove where I don't do anything. I need the encouragement and ideas from people to be a better person and move forward. So I'm asking people to challenge me and don't let me settle....

I am the last person who should be giving out
social activity advice, but I think it's a good sign that you feel the need to make changes to
correct things.
I'm not too sure what all of your interests are, but through the scooter scene I have met SO MANY people and have had the chance to meet some really decent humans.
Maybe you need a new path/hobby/interest?
poet22:
I guess the big question is what do you like to do? I mean I like being lazy, watching movies and wasting my life infront of my laptop as much as the next person, but restlessness sets in... I play tennis sometimes. Bike, skate, run, hike. If I had a lake or a river I'd find a way to kayak. Maybe you like frisbee or golf or frisbee golf. Maybe just walking around town and watching people. Coffee shops, bars, bookstores...even a public library.

The best is less computer man. The internet is endless. On and on and on. A book has a set goal. A mile run has a set goal. A trip to a bar has a last call. Find a social hobby and some exercise. That's what I strive for personally and find that it helps.

I was saddened to hear that rattie Mable, also called Snow ;-), passed away on Friday of complications from megacolon. I spent some good quality time with my rats Erin & Katie tonight and talked to them about Mable. Katie's tumors have grown quite a bit but she still seems to be chipper. She was running (well, waddling) around my room tonight and didn't seem...

Fluff Off 2005

Ah so I've recently been reading many people's 2005 Year in Review postings. Most of them from people remembering the good parts of 2005. The only positive part of 2005 is that I have become more self sufficient. Living alone can also be called self sufficient. :-/ I don't feel like I am any closer to being happy than I was in...

I went out tonight with a co-worker and his wife to a local basketball game. He was a referee for the varsity game so I watched with his wife while she took notes on the officiating. I've been around basketball since I was five years old but have never looked at it the way that officials do. There is a different game happening when you...

I hate christmas frown

I hate that it makes people feel lonely
and fight and waste money on presents
that people don't appreciate. I don't celebrate it anymore.

I hope you have a nice visit with your parents.

I feel sad that you feel shitty and alone frown

I used to hang out with a girl in highschool
who was crazy and threw her mom's christmas tree down the basement stairs. I didn't believe her until I saw it eeek surreal shocked frown confused .
There it was, at the bottom of the wooden stairs, on the cement floor, all messsed up
and smashed ornament everywhere.
Her mom was very pissed when she got home mad
Yup, that was a very intense moment surreal

I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry you are feeling down. Many, many people do this time of year.

On the Happy Holidays vs Merry Christmas thing...
My take is this, say whatever the hell you want to. People who are saying Happy Holidays are actually being considerate and including other religions that celibrate a holiday in December by not just saying Merry Christmas. People need to remember that the US is a melting pot, and there are all types of people here, and other religions need to be respected as well. After all, we do still have freedom of religion in this country. Although it doesn't seem like it most of the time.

I am Buddhist, I only celibrate social holidays.

Take care. smile

A topic of recent discussion within the Catholic community has been the ordination of openly gay seminarians as priests. In a recent document published by a church organization, it is stressed that the church will not ordain men who are active homosexuals, who have "deep seated" homosexual tendencies or who support the "gay culture". This document is really the first of it's kind within the...

What a rediculous load of crap. If someone has taken a vow of celibacy and devoted their life to a religion, their sexual preference, or what turns them on is irrelevant! That's like saying that if at one time you prefered big tits, or blondes that you will be less of a priest. There is so much prejudice in the church...it saddens me. frown

Today I made it out to to pickup a Christmas tree for my apartment. I purchased a 6-7ft tree and managed to get it home and into my apartment with little problems. Now, I already had a tree stand from our Christmas tree on 17th Street in Terre Haute. However, after an hour of struggling, I realized that the stand I had is for larger...

And the creep you asked about...well he got a formal warning from the officer that came out, so if he comes on the property again he will be arrested for trespassing. Thank goodness he is scared of dogs!!!
Take care!
