Rain today, drip dropping, plip plopping
from the sky's mouth
to mine
and yet, my lips are dry....
the rain sometimes cleans the scuffs from the earth, if only temporarily adding some shine and gloss to an otherwise all too ugly world...yes, such a fabulous day...but at least, yesterday, I saw a rainbow across the mountains, more like a cloud-rainbow instead of an arc, coloring the mounatin's cheekbones, and then, after that, I saw another rainbow, in the form of my lovely and most understanding friend, who fed me and let me sleep on the couch during his band practice. Yes, sleep enticed me that much, that I slept like a baby, with an amplified bass guitar's vibration for a pillow...dead to the world in the blackness of dreamless landscapes....
