It can be great. Actually, although I like to bitch about the cold, it very rarely gets too cold here. It's often warm enough to be playing shirts and skins football in feb.
If you have joint problems the chinooks might kill you though. Massive atmospheric pressure changes that just about drive half the populace mad.
What I would kill for, is to be as close to a large body of water as you are. It's far too dry here.

I hate working. Not always, but definitely today. My feet hurt, and I'm in a bad mood because I got bad news today. Looks like the health issues I had at this time last year have come back to haunt me.

it's super easy and very non-scientific. boil/ steam carrots (baby, peeled) until soft enough to poke with fork easily. drain. put in sautee pan. add 1-2 tablespoons butter (depending on how many baby carrots you use), dust carrots with brown sugar (start with a little, add more if necessary). sautee until desired softness of carrots/ glaze consistency acheived. like I said, very non-scientific, all about taste... but it works for me. I can try to develop something a little more specific if you like.
