Okay.

So.

The last snowboarding vacation I took ended early with me getting a ride down the mountain bundled on a toboggan behind the medic's snowmobile. Yep, I got hauled off the mountain because I totally biffed & tore my ACL. Despite the ensuing months in a leg brace, I still find myself daydreaming about getting away & going out on the slopes! Someone please just come over with hot chocolate & Alpine sweaters & talk some sense into me?

You just need to get near some snow, hang around outside 'til you get a bit chilly--wait for your cheeks to turn pink, maybe throw a snowball or two, that kind of thing--and then go inside and curl up somewhere warm and cozy for the rest of the day/evening/winter/year. That's the whole point of winter sports, isn't it? I've just always skipped the "sports" part and headed straight for the sweaters and cuddling and hot toddies. wink

I would be inclined to give you another shot at it, so long as you took it easy at first. Then again your idea and Necia's certainly have merit and bear contemplating.
