I find it entertaining that a lot of my friends are in the tech field in some fashion, so they tend to think I'm a moron when it comes to computers. I'm not a moron, but I didn't even own a computer for several years, and have had a series of jobs where I needed literally zero savvy to get by. However, in the past 4 restaurants I've worked at, I'm the go-to person when things go wrong with the computers. And I have this reputation because I really do tend to either figure things out on my own, or find someone I can question in order to get myself on the right track. Silly, no?
