i think when i finally retire from uncle sam's canoe club (i know it's still a long way off, i hit the 11 year mark in a week) i would really like to teach. at what level i don't know (that is the beginning of all knowledge," i don't know") but since i transfered to training support center i've found that i really love getting up in front the class and passing along the knowledge i've acquired over the years to the next generation of squids. strange because before i went to basic instructor school i had a hard time with public speaking, but not any more, they cure you of that shit real quick. had to go up to bremerton, wa last week to teach a class for the uss camden before they deployed to the gulf. i can't say i envy them being as i've already done 6 deployments including somalia (operation united shield) and 5 to the gulf for southern watch and of course operation iraqi freedom. i'm definitely enjoying shore duty after spending my first 10 years at sea. i'm also definitely missing my hetrosexual life mate araynon since the poor bastard is stuck over in japan for another 2 years oh well that's the way things go.
