So yesterday was not a good day for me! didn't feel quite right from the moment i got up to go to work! i put it down to the couple of pints i'd had the night before but by 10.00am i knew it was nothing to do with that! i felt like crap, couldn't stop shaking, i could feel my heart 'fluttering' (can't think of a better description), food wasn't helping and neither were fluids!

Having taken my blood pressure the week before for a giggle and found it to be high all my work buddies were deeply concerned but i stuck it out and competed the day. when i got home i got my dad to take my blood pressure with his home testing kit only to be find that it was through the roof i.e. 145 / 111; i've never seen my dad look so horrified. he said i should get to the docs asap and get them to do it! when i got there and told them what had happened the nurse quickly grabbed me and dragged her to her room and tested my BP before i knew what hit me! it was high but nowhere near as bad as the home test had shown. now i have to go back next week for another check up and to have blood taken for tests! the nurse seemed to think i might have a mild form of diabetes...guess we just have to wait and see.
