So the long weekend highlighted in my previous blog has reached it's end. Here's what i got upto:
Thursday
Went to Swansea with the parental units and my bro. We left the house at 9am and didn't get home till gone 7pm. Had a wander around the shopping area, went for some nice food and genrally didn't stress about anything all day.
Friday
Me and my bro were out of the house by 10am; made it to McDonalds in perfect time for a breakfast. Headed to the cinema and watched 'The Bourne Ultimatum'; i must admit it wasn't quite what i had expected but it was good...concluded the trilogy nicely. After that we had a few games of pool...after an hour we were tied at four games each so decided to call it quits. Had some more colour done on my arm...it's coming together nicely now!
Saturday
Headed to the beach with a couple of the kids from work. We went to the Gower (Swansea-way for those not in the know) but i think it's save to say that i have never been where we ended up in my life. We stopped for some food asnd refreshments in a nice local pub and got glared at by the yocals (always a nice feeling). The beach was great but there were dark forces at work when it came to the weather. It had been beautiful all-day; it was hot, the sun was shining, there wasn't a cloud in the sky...but as soon as we finished setting up the tent and sat down to enjoy ourselves this eery mist rolled in, the sun disappeared and the beach got red flagged by the lifeguards because of poor visbilty! None the less we still had a good day.
Sunday
Got invited to Mega-Day for drinks and shenanigans! It's a local fund raiser that features loads of local bands. The quality of the music wasn't superb but the company was; my little drinking butty from work Janine came along and we met up with a few other work people. Saw soooooo many people that i hadn't seen for a long time; some good, some bad...to be honest i'm surprised i made it out alive!
Monday
Went for lunch with mum. My dad and my brother went to Manchester yesterday to watch Man. Utd Vs. Tottenham so mum was like 'we'll go out for lunch'...she negelected to say we'd also be driniking a shed-load of alcohol but it's all good!
