Everyonce in a while, a movie comes along that reaches me where I am as a person. Where I stand at that moment in my life. At this moment in my life, that movie is Clerks II.

I saw a preview of the film last night after hours at the movie theater at which I don't technically work anymore. I sat down, looking for a funny movie, what i got was a revelation. The two guys who the Clerks movies center around, Dante Hicks and Randall Graves, are at a similar point in their lives as I am in mine. They are about ten years older than me, but the situatuion is still the same.

In the film, after their longtime workplace, the Quick Stop, is burned down, they move on to a Mooby's fast food joint, and after a year of working there, Dante is ready to move on, towards a future, which is painted in pretty colors by his girlfriend, Randall on the other hand is (supposedly) alright with just staying put, flipping burgers. I feel like both. I want to move on, I want to better things, and the move to Boston in a week and few days is exciting as hell, but leaving whats so famliar and "old hat" to me is painful. I don't want to work at Movie Gallery for the rest of my life, hell I don't want to work there for another week (and I'm not. Ha.) but it does offer the promise of always being there for me, as I am an assistant manager, kinda, so I would always be "needed" and I also would, deep down, love to stay at the theater, because it offers what little comfort i can get from a job, and the people make it twice as memorable...

I can't wait to move, but something tells me my last few days here are going to be very tough, and most likley very emo. I'll do my best to leave that out of my blog.

but anyway, go see Clerks 2. best movie of the year so far, as I see it, and it will make you laugh so hard. hell i got a headache I was laughing so hard.

"ooh. Cake."

They say misery loves company
We could start a company
And make misery, Frustrated Incorporated
I know just what you need
I might just have the thing
I know what you'd pay to see

Put me out of my misery
I'd do it for you, Would you do it for me?
We will always be busy, making misery

We could build a factory, and make misery
We'll create the cure, we made the disease
Frustrated Incorporated, Frustrated Incorporated

I know just what you need
I might just have the thing
I know what you'd pay to feel

Put me out of my misery
Suicide kings and drama queens
Forever after happily making misery

Did you satisfy your greed, get what you need
Was it only envy, so empty

Frustrated incorporated...

I'd do it for you, would you do it for me?
