its amazing how one image can conjure many ideas in one's head. how many stories.
I was trying, in vain, to come up with an idea for a short film in the Batman universe, for one, to get some practice with stylized film, and to also pay homage to a great memory from my childhood. I couldn't come up with anything. until i re-discovered a piece of cover art from a comic run in the 90's.
Suddenly it clicked. Don't make a movie about Batman, that's been done. Don't explore the origins of your villian, its also been done. Explore the origin of the villian's sidekick/lovesick partner.
inspiration comes at the oddest of times, but thank goodness for it.
now to go back to writing about Mr. J, and his pet.
