70 Bucks was so worth it
Donald (aka Lifelong Batman fan, since the age of 4) + the four original Batman movies (yes, Batman and Robin sucks, but the dvd alone is worth it for the directors apology, which i need to find and rip to my computer) = Very Happy Nerd.
also considering I also have the two disc collectors edition of Batman Begins. I now have ever major Batman movie ever made, including the serials, and the wonderfully campy 60's movie based on the show. I also own (somewhere) a vintage issue of a Batman comic from when my dad was a kid. (he is saving it for me, someday) I used to have the worlds largest (or so my mom told me every time she stepped on them) collection of Batman themed toys. i have somewhere a vintage Batman symbol poster from film one, i think. i could be wrong on that...
in other words: I am fucking nuts about the Bat.
Begins re-ignited my facination, which after i came to understand the value of film, and how to make a good one, i was sadly disappointed to go back to the last two Batman movies and watch it turn to campy goo, featuring Ahrnold! Then begins, as William_Miller can attest, made me happier than any film last summer (yes, even Star Wars wasn't as cool as Batman) I even exclaimed the phrase "Fuck Returns" in reference to the Tim Burton film, which is still one of my all time favorite movies. It was profound, and it was the first DVD since the last Lord of the Rings dvd that i felt the need to rush out and buy opeing day (although many movies have made me do that in recent times)
Point of Rant: I love teh Batman. so very much. and also owning a DVD where Jack Nicholson openely admits that he is indeed, the fucking man.
now imagine Batman...with an Oscar!
