But there's just s omething sad about them getting a franchise really right, and it not making any money ($1 million dollars profit over production budget in domestic terms, and that's because it only cost $50 MILLION!) because Disney didn't give two shits. And this making now $210 million because Disney realizes they're bloody well fucked now without Weinsteins or Lasseters to save their ass, so they hype the shit out of it.

... And they didn't do that with Hitchhiker's. What the fuck, It is interesting that, for once, releasing their fantasy film in front of a much bigger one worked a lot better than releasing their sci-fi film in front of a much bigger one.

I dunno, maybe Adamson has some weird lucky charm on him. I still can't figure out why Shrek 2 made so much money for being such a shitty, shitty movie. Must've lent it out to Tim Story over the summer.
