sooooooo i finally got the call and i start my new job on Monday! Excited? YES! Terrified? HELL YES! Never really had a serious job before so im pretty nervous. It means i actually have to get up for work on time everyday, which as most people who know me are aware of, im not too good at. but, i guess thats what happenes when you work for your best friends father most of your life. Im also sad at the same time. ive been working at the flowershop for about 15 years now and think of everyone there as family. i enjoyed all the years as it was a really fun place to work at. it was great to go to work (usually late) and be able to put an insatnt smile on someones face when i made a beautiful bouquet for them or delivered flowers to someone. Apparently all i have to look forward to at the new job is a bunch of pissed off people who didnt like thier latest electric and gas bill. its definitely gonna take some getting used to, but on the other hand, more money and better hours. ive been toying with the idea of just working weekends at the flower shop too but i really enjoy having those days off. 7 days a week with the exception of a few days off here and there for almost 15 years has definitely taken its toll. so we'll see. im really taking getting this job as the first step of a better life for myself. hopefully soon i can be rid of my debt, get my own place, and for once have some spare cash for the things that i want. monday it is. 7:45 am sharp (ugh!)....wish me luck....
