Just got off the phone with Tom Grant about Kurt Cobain being killed by a conspiracy of Scientologists. It was an interesting angle he felt; I even found where the Foo Fighters used to pass out "HIV is a lie" pamphlets at their shows like Scientologists pass out pamphlets against Pharmaceuticals; Dylan Carlson of Earth was a Scientologist and got Kurt to buy the shotgun and check into re-hab; and The LA County Courts that Courtney got custody of her child back from and royalties from for "removing Kurt," where they probably didn't plan to kill him; that Courtney hired Tom Grant, a private investigator, because Scientology may have told her to hire one to watch Kurt. Tom said that Courtney hired him originally and that she expected Kurt to die on Saturday night, and when he was still alive on Sunday morning, it freaked her out, and that's where the scattered stories and haphazard killing of him came in. Courtney, he said, was upset over the fact Kurt wanted divorce from her, really upset, and wanted to kill him herself, but that the Scientology angle was interesting. I also mentioned how all the Riot Grrrls in Olympia called him an "asshole" after he was dead and how they always called me that for investigating how he was killed there, and that they're involved with Dylan Carlson through Earth and Sunn O))) and that they also treated me poorly for being from the South like he was from Aberdeen, a place also considered "country" by the sophistos of Washington's capitol, and they shunned us both for it, and neither of us hardly ever had friends or got laid.
