Since i'm in a design critical mood i dug up one of my old student pieces.

I was inspired by this magazine called Lemon that I randomly found at Borders one day, and that magazine is pretty much a designers wank fest. Small publication, but man is it beautiful. They do theme issues and the one I picked up was like an ode to Stanley Kubrick. Each article had some relation to each of his movies and while they were not necessarily about the movie directly, the artistic direction for the article was. I was quite impressed with it. Anyway as it happened at the time I had this booklet assignment due for my layout class. Originally I had intended on redoing cd artwork that I had done before (first printed thing ever and I would'nt show it off proudly today) for my friend's band, but I found that I a) didn't have the motivation to do a di-cut layout, as in print it properly, cut it up, glue it together so it folded properly b) didn't want to have to 'make up' the text that was required to be on there c) I hate measuring things
so I made a booklet instead which was a visual guide to a clockwork orange. I'm still rather fond of it. Come to think of it I always did want to do some sorta picture thing with a clockwork orange theme of sorts. Theres probably a SG on the site that has a clockwork orange set but I dont know... anyway below the cut
