I figured out my greatest weakness and I lament in my laughter regarding the irony. My application of the principle of charity towards humanity is my kryptonite. I sometimes wonder where the energy comes from to believe in a species that is so inept but also capable of such greatness. I can only imagine the torture a quantum being would endure watching the story we tell play out. It would be like watching a metaphorical train wreck in slow motion and I personally dislike doing that.
It's a sad fact that the cure to my ailment is also the cause. The world may be made up of individuals but when we all get together we create something bigger. The echo of a deed (good or bad) can be heard for generations and the invention of the internet only magnifies this effect.
Maybe I'm just going crazy with optimism but my internet perusing has given me hope. The invasive nature of modern technology gives us a whole new dogma to be penitent before. Sure there is still a bunch of stuff on the net that displays the depravity we a capable of but the difference is that now we have to own up to it. We can drown out the noise of change with the semantic pleasures of life until we die but it won't change anything.
When we look at anything under the microscope nothing is hidden, the same goes for world wide web.
Energy, however, is neutral. It doesn't have intent or direction on it's own. We are the ones who assign purpose to any given action or inaction. If someone is mean to you (directing negative energy) you can be mean right back or you can bombard them with positivity. He/she might disregard it in the moment but they will remember it like a shining light in a sea of darkness.
