Despite the efforts of political dinosaurs like Mark Dayton the great state I live in known as Minnesota legalized medical marijuana yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Though the bill itself drastically limits the means in which marijuana can be used (no smoking leaves at all QQ ) I believe this is but a stepping stone to complete decriminalization of the plant. The best part of all of this is that one of the people helping lead the charge up in Washington DC as a co author of the recent bill that passed is none other than a cousin of mine! It's crazy to think that someone I knew at family Christmas functions all these years is now in the state senate making some actual changes. He's also tried to change the laws here in MN concerning liquor sales on Sundays which has so far met with resistance from all sides. Overall I'm very proud of my bloodline today!
