It's weird how things work out, isn't it?

My friends are notorious for not giving a fuck about anyone but themselves, but this weekend being my birthday weekend, I expected it to be different. It wasn't. I wasn't asked once what I wanted to do, I ended up taking care of my drunken friends Saturday night blah blah blah. The usual. It got old fast.

So as I was feeling that the weekend was lost, I was sitting in my room playing with Sir Hops A Lot and my roommate came upstairs and threw a beer to [at] me. So I went downstairs and we were hanging out and helping our one roommate that's moving pack up. (PS there's a room for rent in my house)

We listened to this a lot:

Then we got into a snowball fight which turned into a snowman-making fest. Which then turned into Aunt Jemima and us building snow-coolers for our beer. We had the snowman almost done until my roommate decided to body slam it! I was so mad, this was the first snowman I've ever made in my LIFE! So I body slammed him into a huge pile of snow and then it got crazy with us flinging each other and our other roommate just watching and laughing.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Now I have frost bite on my ass, my roommate has snow in his ear still (or so he claims)

So all in all, what I'm trying to say is this: It's awesome that you don't have to get all dressed up and spend absurd amounts of money at a bar or at dinner to have a good time. The best times are spent at home in sweatpants with cheap beer and good roommates.

stoihode:
Agreed. My best times were spent pretty much just like, minus the snow. More like days at the beach, all we spend is a tiny bit of money on ice and beverages for the cooler, the rest is all shootin' the breeze and laughs, and wrestling in the water. Happy birthday beautiful and many many more, I hope they get better each year! xx
