Hai, hai, JRocker-sama, Ill update for you tonight as requested.
So whats been happening since my previous entry/outburst? Well, not a lot has changed in regards to relations with most of my friends or in making new friends. Amber still doesnt want to hang out really. Shell only call me (and this still being only once or twice) when she needs a ride somewhere. Yeah, thanks dear. Twinkie hasnt warmed up at all, either, which saddens me every time I think about her. Which, being that Im essentially losing my most valuable friend, I think about it quite a bit. As for my neighbors, the guy across the hall doesnt seem to have anything at all in common with me except that our internet connections suck, the girl downstairs is completely aloof, and the couple upstairs from me do little but argue all day long. Things on the Make and Keep Friends! front are still getting worse.
But there is good news! (Surprisingly!) While I am still not going to call it a sure thing, Im rather certain this girl I met Tuesday waiting for the bus digs me. Quite a lot. Which is okay, as shes rather fun to hang out with, and I may perhaps return her affection. Anyways, I should probably tell whats happened between us sofar
So I was waiting for the bus on Tuesday at a rather crowded bus stop right in front of the bookie when I remembered I still needed to check and see if one of my books was in. So I went inside, sure enough it wasnt, so I went back out to the bus stop to find the bus had come and gone while I was inside, and there was no one left at the stop. So I went and sat down, and had been there for about thirty seconds to a minute when this girl came walking up and said Hi. So I said hi back, and she asked me what classes Id had today, and I told her Japanese and Computer Science. And at hearing Japanese asked me why I was taking it, and at hearing that I took an interest initially due to anime got super excited and started talking and almost babbling about how much she liked anime too. So we started talking, and pretty soon the bus showed up and we talked all the way home on the bus and by the time we got to her stop she wanted to see me again the next day and had my phone number.
Skip forward to yesterday (Thursday), after she stood me up on Wednesday I was sitting in the union building doing my homework when she showed up! Yai! So she had lunch while we talked, and I told her about my crazy friends and going to UW and other stuff and she laughed and laughed and laughed (inbetween talking as fast as I honestly have ever heard anyone talk, it was difficult to make out what she was saying she was going so fast!) and after about an hour she wanted me to go run errands with her. So we took the bus back to her apartment, where she picked up some stuff (yes, she showed me her apartment, hehehe) and then we were off! For the next two hours we ran around town picking up this or that while I went shopping with her. Thats when she decided she wanted to go to the tennis club meeting, since they were having free pizza. So after dropping my books off at my apartment (which she was very excited to see) we went back to her apartment, and dropped off her car, got back on the bus, and went back to campus where we killed an hour and half wandering around the book store and the library before ending up on a bench overlooking the tennis courts. There we stayed talking (all so she could wait for the pizza, of course ^_~) for a little over two hours. When the pizza finally showed up, she stole a few slices and then we went to the bus stop. There she waited for the bus (we just missed it, btw) for a grand total of Id say five minutes, not nearly enough time to expect the next bus to show up, before she decided that it would be faster if we, you know, walked together back to her place. So we walked for probably fourty minutes back to her apartment, talking (mostly about me) the whole way, To say Im skipping over just a few subtle hints she liked me is like saying I took a boat to England and skipped mentioning the couple of waves my boat had to cut through to get there. Hehehe. Shes so cute when shes embarrassed, too. ^_^
So yeah, tomorrow (or more accurately, today) Im going to call her again (she must have forgotten her cell phone at home today) and see if she wants to watch a movie, where I hope I can find the nerve to ask her whether shes interested in being friends or more. Phrasing it any other way feels, uncomfortable, somehow.
Hopefully things go well with her, as everything else up here seems to be a losing fight anymore. Having to ditch my current internet provider and switch to one thats twice as expensive, as the former takes a miracle to stay connected for more than ten minutes (BTW JRocker, yes, tonight was the longest its stayed connected since I got the service. Yesterday I had about a longest streak of about fifteen minutes. Yikes!) My neighbors are either assholes or unfriendly, and seem to have little interest in developing a community in the building. So it looks like Im in for another year of closed doors and lonely halls. I have pans and knives and an oven and everything needed to cook for myself, but absolutely no knowledge of how to actually do it. Im going to see if I can find a cookbook or something at Hastings, or maybe a bookstore in town, as my I didnt manage to get a copy of my mothers recipe book and the bookie doesnt seem to have cookbooks. Without one, Im pretty much stuck on a diet of Burger King, Little Ceasars, and Red Baron oven bake pizzas.
Ugh, theres more I could probably say right now, but Im so sleepy.
Nighty night, lets hope the Heather bug bites!
