Thank you for my Grandpa condolences.
Surely your life couldn't have mirroreed Hoffman's character to a T!? But I can totally relate to being able to so heavily relate to a character so much that it's painful to watch. I look forward to seeing it again, though to fully grasp every angle all at once. Hoffman is such an amazing actor as well, I adore him.
