I saw this topic a while back, and I must say there were a lot of very lovely, very personal responses. @ivylina's post really hit close to my heart. I, too, need to learn how to tell people 'no' when I can't help, etc. But as that's a lesson I still struggle with sometimes, I'm going to talk about something a bit less serious.

Road Rage!-I wish I'd learned to control it earlier, much earlier.

People in the States drive like compete idiots (I can't speak for other countries, I've only ever driven in the US and Canada, and the latter only briefly). It really gets under my skin. I rarely get behind the wheel without someone pissing me off in some way or other. I used to have a bad habit of hitting when somebody cut me off, pulled in front of me without signaling, or whatever. Obviously I don't mean hitting other divers, they're out of reach generally😝. I'd usually hit the steering wheel, dashboard, or whatever else found itself within range of my rage.

Then last spring I got a little carried away (or more carried away than usual). Some idiot cut me off, nearly killing me, and I gave the steering wheel the beating of it's life. Unfortunately, it was made of sterner stuff than my hand... The outermost (carpel) bone snapped audibly and searing pain followed immediately. I have to say, it was extremely unsatisfying-really didn't improve the situation as much as I had hoped.😂

Since then I haven't been hitting things, though I still get pretty rage-y from time to time.
