Looks like plans are falling through. I would have loved to go, but got no confirmation from the people, and I'm sick, among a few other things. That doesn't mean I wouldn't. It just doesn't look like it will be possible, but if you'd like to discuss further, I'll e-mail you with my number.

And as for roommates, my brother-in-law is coming down here for school for two months, and is looking for a place to stay. I don't know if he has plans, or if this even sounds good to you, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
