Now I'm not typically prone to sentimentality or painful journeying down memory lane. However the last few days have been filled with thoughts of my ex girlfriend. Not filled with thoughts of getting back together, I've learned that painful lesson, just been reminded of her a lot lately. Been almost 8 months since we broke up or even since we last talked. There is a...

sorry I've not updated in a bit...feeling a lot better. Though my throat is still a tad sore I've basically gotten over the strep completely. Thanks for all the well wishing.
Nothing terribly exciting to report. Today was fairly uneventful. Got a bunch of shit done I needed to do, laundry and groceries, etc.

ok so I have one pill of antibiotics left....and yet I'm still too sick to work. Went in this morning and almost immediately realized that I had made a mistake. It's hard to build sets when the slighest bit of exertion causes you to break out in a cold sweat. I'm really amazed that I continue to be sick...last time I had strep I was...

being that sick sucks ass man. i've never gotten strep throat, but a couple years ago i got so sick that in 6 weeks i lost 35 lbs...of muscle mass, not just fat. i was bed-ridden and on steroid medication, immunosuppressant drugs to help the steroids work better, and ended up getting a blood transfusion after the meds kicked in. it was a bad time.
on a happier note - sucks to be you guys in the states; we've been getting old skool spiderman on our cartoon network for like 5 years now. canada rules

hope you start to feel better if you haven't already!
well...I've got strep throat. It sucks big time. Unfortunately for me I don't need to be exposed to it in order to get it. I just need to be worn out enough for it to come back. So that's $300 that I don't have that I just had to shell out. On the good side though I got antibiotics for free because someone stocked too...

I was thinking that there might be some homeopathic remedies for strep throat, if you would have been willing to try something like that. It certainly wouldn't have been as costly, but it probably would have taken longer to heal (and probably would be risky if it didn't work for you). You might try searching at Dr. Andrew Weil's site the next time you get sick (and are away from the free clinic).
I dropped your SG friend a line, too. She seems pretty interesting.

Man, strep a couple times a year is absolutely crazy! I would definitely go with the surgery if that is the best option. (Hopefully it won't leave a scar.)
I used to get bronchitis every year as a teenager, then I realized that I should bundle up more, and I haven't had it since.
Good luck.
P.S. I don't know whether Vicodin works the same way as Oxycontin. (I hear Vicodin-ES is safer, but my Dad took it once for back pain and boy was he loopy!
) If there is a label on your pill bottle that says "Do not crush or chew tablets. . .swallow whole," boy, you better do just that, because the Oxycontin (Hillbilly Heroin) addicts chew those things by the hundreds!

Another disorganized day in the shop. Spent all day long working on things with the Carp Intern, and though he is a great guy that I really enjoy working with, all the of stuff that we did today could have been done by one person. It'd be nice to have the TD be able to assign jobs in a better fashion...make use of the ridiculously...

Well it's been an interesting couple of days. Not so much interesting in a good way.
I'm not all that happy with my current place of employment. It inspires a really unpleasant combination of apathy and frustration that make me difficult to work with. I'm in the weird position of sort of being responsible and just being another cog in the machine at the same...

Show opened last night. Went really well actually. Not the best production I've ever seen but you really have to work to fuck up Noel Coward.
I was going to say it's been a pretty decent week, it's really been fairly stressful with long long hours, but I'm about as happy and together as I've ever been so it's been really easy to roll with...

Ok...so I worked from 6 pm last night till 8:30 this morning...and then I worked from 12:30 till 3:30 pm...and now I'm headed back at midnight to work till I drop...ah, the life of a theater tech guy.
Been ages since I updated but here it is.
Things are really good. Living out in Vermont, outside of Burlington, right now. Working as the master carpenter at a theater. It's a pretty fun gig. First show opens on Tuesday if anyone is interested. It's Private Lives.
Been staying out of trouble and enjoying myself for a change.
That's really all there is to report...

Well it's been almost a week since I last wrote in here. It's been a pretty decent week though. Took the job in Vermont. They were really excited about me joining there little theater family which was flattering. I'll be headed out there for the 12th.
