PROMISED UPDATE!
----------------------------
It's been a week...hence my procrastination in getting this entry updated so slowly. I won't get into that stuff though...especially due to the risk of coming off more emo than I'm already thought of or accused of being... {shakes head}
Anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay....so on Saturday February 17th I hit up SF to catch the TASTE OF CHAOS tour that was coming through. I was originally supposed to meet up with my friend Jeremiah & his sister but since we had taken different modes of transportation there and arrived there at different times it ended up proving impossible to do so - so on my own I was left (nothing I ain't used to). It sure doesn't help that it's hard as hell to hear someone on a cell phone at loud-ass rock show but hell I guess that's how it's supposed to be right?
I was primarily there to catch the sets of Chiodos and Saosin, but I was also able to see 30 Seconds to Mars and The Used too.
I never really got into either of them but they did sound great and put on a good performance I'd say. Beforehand, I was always skeptical of Jared Leto's transformation from actor into rock*star but I have to give them credit for the energy and sound they put out - and I know I might get some shit for this from certain people I know, Haha!
I was really pumped to catch Chiodos and just as I was told by those in the know (yeah Ima talkin' to YOU Miss Addison

Right after Chiodos completed their set, Saosin followed and I was equally excited to see them play. Their set, which was more adequate in length, started off well enough but I couldn't help but feel that it kind of slipped downwards as they played on...Can't quite put my finger on why exactly but they ended up sounding a bit off on a few songs I'd say. So that was a little disappointing...nonetheless some of the songs (which included some of my favorites) did sound great and I still enjoyed experiencing their set.
Beyond that I did some wandering around the merch and promo areas and they were pretty neatly set up - I scored plenty of free Rock Star drinks (mmmm...my energy drink poison of choice), Noticed they had some Guitar Hero II on display for people to play (sooooo tempted to have jumped on it!), Hooked up a subscription to AP for only $5 bucks, Got complimented by the AP girl from PA on my first name (there's not a whole of Ricardos out there she said, haha), and purchased some band goods.
As you can see above thanks to the ol' hide my digital camera in my crotch area trick, I was able to get some photos and video of the show (but those will have to stay in the forthcoming soon to YouTube dimension - since I'm STILL working on figuring that out). Most of these pictures turned out pretty crappy but it didn't help that I was too far away from the stage. Hope they're enjoyed anywayz. I'll leave things with this one, which was the best of the bunch...
Ahhhhhhhh you lucky bitch!!! getting to see Saosin and Chiodos. Saosin was here not too long ago and i missed it. Ok though, Id rather they have Anthony Green anyways. And you got to meet Craig. Yeah I was supposed to meet him and both times he was nowhere to be found. Maybe I will see them in March in FL. Actually im going to make that a priority!!
Freddys revenge,
you know i barely remember that series. Ive tried to find them a few years back but came up unlucky in that search. And yes I give the 2nd some gore props as well.
Well the first time I saw chiodos was in Scotland. I did met Craig but it was very short. Before i even went to Scotland I wrote him telling him I was going and was going to be at the show. We were supposed to hang out. I saw him after they play. I screamed "im american" and he hugged me and told me he loved me, hahaha. Told me he would be back to hang out. Ended up he got sick and cancelled two shows after that.
Yeah I guess the Anthony Green trade off is fair. We have Circa Survive and The sound of Animals fighting. which is great!!!!
Wedding???haha
