So for a change I had myself an eventful weekend. Reflecting on things a bit more, it was a pretty good week overall.
On Monday, January 22nd I visited SF with Michelle, to have an exquisite dinner at the House of Nan King (gourmet Chinese food, unlike any other!) and afterwards hit up the Great American Music Hall in SF to check out Emily Haines (who's best known for her work with the band Metric). It was very mellow vibes as far as shows go- but it was very well performed with a string quartet and Guy Maddin films being projected in conjunction with the music.
Fast forwarding to Friday, it was time well spent catching up with my friends Shawn, Marc and Dan over a delicious Sushi dinner.
And the night was a blast watching some Wonder Showzen and Masters of Horror (although John Carpenter's 2nd season episode has to be the weakest I've seen thus far...).
Theeeeeen we got into some Guitar Hero II on PS2 - where over 3 hours of our time disappeared in a blur of ROCK goodness and sore fingers where left in its wake. It was admittedly my first time hands on with it, and I loved every minute of it - despite its affirmation as to why I could probably never play guitar
The game is totally like crack though (and reminded me of how Addison had spent her New Years gaming on it), that's for sure - after it was decided to stop playing, I was feening for more!
For the nightcap - er rather, morning cap we watched Jackass Number 2 which I had rented on DVD, there was good laughs there, but also a whole lot of gross-outs and male gentiles as well, Haha. There was one part in the movie which managed to do what no other movie has done to me (at least that I can recall) - it almost made me want to throw up at one point..{shiver}..just thinking about it makes me sorta queasy, egh!
The events of Saturday where some that I had highly been anticipating. I got together with my buddy Thomas, and we headed into San Francisco to first attend the signing that Vivid Alt.'s Dana DeArmond was doing in south city at a store called the Galleri. I was pretty damn nervous getting to meet her and one of my favorite directors, Eon McKai but I was really blown away by how personable they both were. I was able to talk a lot with both of them and get their autographs as well. I had also made a mix CD for Dana, which was especially for the signing, and she seemed to have really dug it!
After the signing was done, an after party was scheduled to take place at a renowned place called the Beauty Bar. I was able to drink, mingle, smoke and converse further with Dana and Eon, and meet lots of other cool folks as well.
The only unfortunate aftermath of all the fun on Saturday, was that having so much of a good time caused my digital camera to get corrupted (!?!) and I couldn't transfer all my pictures from Saturday night, which sadly included pictures I had taken together with Dana and Eon..

Ah well, at least some really great shots of Dana at the signing did go through, so I leave those below for everyone's viewing pleasure..

Yeah he was a douche. They seem really nice and cool at first then BAM! completely different person. I usually date guys in bands. not like i seek them out or anything. Its just the people i attract i guess. Maybe i should just stay away from guys in bands. Being single isnt that bad i guess...im just ready for a relationship. Its been too long.
dont ever become one of those band guys!!! yeah those guys suck.
