Apparently, it's a New Movie Weekend (or, at least, movies I had not seen before).

I dropped Alma off at work and went to a Friday matine - Slither
I expected it to suck, and it did, but in that good way It's schlocky fun.

went home, stopped by Blockbuster and picked up MirrorMask,
The Ice Harvest, and Brokeback Mountain

went home, showered, and then brought Almalthia a portabello panini from Panera and a slice of raspberry white chocolate brownie. Since I didn't want to drive back across town just to have to pick her up 2 and a half hours later, I went back to the theatre and caught Lucky # Slevin, not really knowing what to expect. The plot was kind of predictable in places, but all in all it wasn't bad, and for the first time in my life I actually found Lucy Liu attractive...plaid skirt and OTK socks will do that.

watched MirrorMask and Brokeback today... MirrorMask is unusual, as expected... I like it, Alma couldn't make it all the way through.

Brokeback Mountain was fine as far as storytelling goes, but it was very sad. Other than that, I've got a lot of thoughts about it, but I don't really know what to say about it... it stands alone.

Haven't watched the other flick yet. My ear piercings apparently had closed, because I had to force new rings through thin membrane. at one point I had them up to 14g, but now I'm back to thin wires. oh well.

The leg is doing better, thanks to all who've been checking up on me, I appreciate it.I caught it really early, so it wasn't problematic at all... They're trying a new antibiotic and I've been taking some zinc supplements, so maybe we won't have to do this again... ~fingers crossed~
