As as I sit up tonight, sleepless in not-Seattle, I have turned to what all the weekends insomniacs do... Time Travel.
My ponderings began as a "Oh if only I'd asked that girl out" and "I wish I had made that investment" and also "I wish for infinity veggie-burgers" then it struck me as I posted my comical YMCA picture for the Easter Crowd... Time travel = Atheism.
I will admit, I had watched "Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles" which I had taped, and that got my thought process started down a road that started with a feast to celebrate the killing of Jesus and ended with the killing of Jesus....
The logic goes a little like this....
If we could travel back in time, no matter how short the duration, that means that we could effect other peoples lives. You see forward time travel is easy. We're all doing it.. the process is called aging, but BACKWARDS, that means that things can change that have already occurred. Therefore, babies who have been given souls that will one day ascend to heaven, MAY not have been conceived. This could lead to families being not born and more and more souls escaping creation.
On the other side of the coin, death could be averted which means that souls that were supposedly in heaven, will now be back on earth. This means that we would have an effect on heaven and earth together. Could a God allow his kingdom to be changed and possibly damaged by mortals? Could God allow pull the life away from children and their families...
What.. he already does all that?
