Ok.. here's my update...
It Begins...
It seems that all those people who said theSupreme Court would never revisit abortion... may have been on the crack. As you can see, it is begining with late-term abortion (and if you read between the lines it does not care if a womans life is in danger). If you think they will stop here, you are crazy... it will continue until the only right a woman has is what colour slippers to wear while she is pregnant and cooking for her man....
Reclassified Declassified Classifieds
A new trend in the USA. The Freedom of Information Act seems to be going back in time as more than 55 thousand documents have been RE-classified. For those of you who dont know.. This act states that 25 years after a secret document is made it must be declassified and available for the public unless there is an important reason not to. The CIA with 5 other secret agencies have been pouring over documents and making them classified once again. The program has been operating for 7 years now, put in place by the Bush Administration, and was only discovered when a historian went to copy files that had once been there and had found them removed. The man says he is astounded by what has been reclassified. Most of it is useless including reports from the Korean and Early Cold war...and a Junior Jumble that Bush just.... just couldnt figure out...
I Guess I'm Not As Crazy As I Thought
This is a fantastic article about some things you may have not known about Stephen Harper. Would a guy comitted to change really have tampered with the Senate he swore he wouldn't tamper with just to get a cronie in? If he was as ethical as he says, would he have accepted Emerson, after the Stronach incident? Just don't let any suave moves this term sway you. Harper is evil. He wants to strip us of our Social services, including health care... aren't Canadians crazy.. we believe that you should be able to live even if you aren't rich.. crazy.
Mohammad vs Marmaduke
Ok... so with all the violence over this cartoon, I guess it is important to keep in mind what price we pay for our oppression. It's hard to be a Muslim these days. There are some radical Muslims, but for the most part Muslims are lovely people. I have yet to meet a muslim who isn't a very loving and enjoyable person. But with the religious right oppressing and villifying ALL Muslims, it's no wonder that when you make an offensive characiture out of their God, that they get pissed. It's not JUST this cartoon... this is just the proverbial straw. I mean, how would Bush Act if Middle East Media showed Jesus rolling in money with an Uzi in each hand. Hell just for "suggesting" the Americans may be out of line, the Americans Bombed Al Jazeera.
I guess what I am suggesting is that we need to find ways to love eachother, instead of highlighting all the ways we are different. Rather than saying "We Can Print What We Want Becasue Of Free Speech" we should ask... "Why Would We Want To Print That... Call it hippie crap if you want... but I know almost 2500 families who wish their kids hadnt gone to war.

You want a million dollar idea? I just rented SAW 2 and I thought to myself... if it werent for all the killing and pain... being in the SAW 2 house would be fun. Why not make a day retreat where instead of being pampered.. you have to find the way out for everyone.
Rent "Control Room" for a real look at Al Jazeera. They are good people who just dont buy into the US propaganda.
Read the Reuters news site everyday. It is a very clear view of the world.
Go read Lavonne's journal, especially the palm oil section
