The Hurricane is over!!

I made it through with no damage, the trailer withstood the winds... We did fine. The power even lasted for a long time last night!!

We finally lost all electricity at 11 pm. The night was hot and disgusting, but a small price to pay for an almost full days worth of power. I played the Xbox as the eye approached. It was great.

Today was equally nasty. Stuck in my house, the Florida heat beating down on us.. No A/C, no power, no water. Needless to say, everyone was cranky, and smelly. It sucked ass.

After a long day of reading and lounging in the heat wishing I was elsewhere, the power finally came on...

And it was too funny, because earlier that day Dad had said, "The power will probably be off for a week or two, so don't expect it to come on..."

So, when it did... I ran outside where he was smoking a cigarette, flicked the switch and pointed to it...

He didn't look, so called out to him.. And as he turned around, I said (while still pointing at the light)

"A couple weeks, huh Dad?"

It was hilarious! At first he didn't understand, but them he finally got it and came inside. FIrst thing he said was "Holy Shit....the power's back on?"

That was mere hours ago, and now I feel so much better. I have bathed, and now I am online. Technology is great.
