I broke my computer a few months ago, but haven't been able to get it repaired, nor do I have the money to buy a new one... crappy. All access to the net has been made from work... crappy. Thats why my last post was on Oct 10th. I don't have anything else to report, yes, I have issues and angst, but who the fuck wants to hear about that? Hooray for shitty computers

How's the training going these days?
There is a Brazilian jiu jitsu school only about a mile or so from my place here in Seattle. It's a Gracie academy, which means it's in the same lineage as my school was in Boulder. They don't list their price on the website, but it seems like they have a real quality set up.
There's also a boxing gym that's even closer. If they were a lot cheaper then BJJ, then I might do that instead for a while and learn more about stand up and box for a while until I get back into the jiu jitsu- which I love.
Though now that I have no real attachments I'm also looking into programs where I would go to Bangkok and study Muay Thai for 6 months or a year.
I don't know they are all just thoughts right now. But I think that my back and neck are recovered enough from the accident that I can start training again.
Dude, you should just start dropping weight today to get down. At the very least you will know how long or short of time it takes you to cut down. That way come your first fight if you need to cut weight leading up to it you can do it an easy and planned out way which ensures that you are still in top condition come round one.
