Blog HW: How do you stand up for what you believe in?

I have to admit... this question makes me feel guilty. I used to be much more of an activist than I am currently. I worked hard to promote and attend protests, I volunteered at many different places constantly, I organized events to help others - the only thing I've done recently to stand up for what I believe in is canvass and post recovery posts on my instagram.

Becoming older my depression has worsened and it's become harder and harder to get myself out and about. I was so passionate in high school, and I still am - I simply don't have the energy I did before to make myself do something about it.

But currently, to stand up for what I believe in, I work to get good democratic candidates on the upcoming ballots. Every day I inform others about the candidates I'm working for and getting signatures for the to be able to run.

Along with that I like to try speaking out about mental illnesses, informing people of the truths behind them, and also about recovery.

I feel bad that I don't do what I used to. It eats away at me sometimes, and I want to do more. But sometimes I believe my posts make more of a difference than anything else.

This has become more of a ramble than a blog, sorry guys!

I'll try taking more time to coherently write for my next posts.

Love and kisses!! <3

I really like how honest you are here, I believe a lot of us feel this way about a lot of things, when I was younger I used to read a lot more or more active etc. I feel the same way and understand how frustrating it is to want to do something and have 0% energy, I want to change that this year šŸ¤žšŸ» The thing is to never stop doing what you can, and posting info is a great way to keep that going ā¤ļø
