"Get comfortable with being uncomfortable."

The martial arts class I'm taking is kicking my ass...to be expected of course, as I'm hideously out of shape, but still...I'm sore in more places more often than I have been for quite some time. It's annoying, but it's a good pain.

"You don't have to work that hard with me."

She meant it in a different way than I heard it...I guess I've been wanting to hear someone say that to me for a very, very long time. For a while now, I've been looking for someone who has the mental fortitude to be able to take care of me once in a while, rather than someone that I always have to be strong for. Maybe I've found that someone. "In time, all things are known."

Four day workweek, as I pulled a 16 hour shift on Monday. I am hardcore.

I've begun LARP with a group of people who are far more skilled at it than I am. I'm hoping to be able to catch up.

Somewhere in this post is buried a kernel of truth...and this time, it's easy to see. Must be getting soft in my old age, I'm getting more open with the world.
